Job Description

As a Senior Developer at Oaktree Asset Backed Finance (ABF), you will play a crucial role in delivering cloud data pipelines, models, and interactive Power BI views to support features such as borrowing-base validation, collateral performance tracking, exception logs, and KPI time-series analysis. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with the US-based analytics team and third-party vendors to establish a scalable, auditable, and institutional reporting solution. You will be tasked with designing and maintaining an AWS-based data lake/warehouse using tools such as S3, Glue, and Redshift/Snowflake. Your role will also entail implementing secure and automated data ingestion from various sources like MDM, Datawarehouse, FTP/email feeds, and servicer reports. Additionally, you will be responsible for building performance ELT pipelines, dimensional models, and optimizing complex SQL queries for time-series and point-in-time analytics. As the Senior Developer, you will develop data-validation and reconciliation scripts, create intuitive Power BI dashboards and paginated reports, and enforce data-quality SLAs, logging, testing, and documentation. Your expertise in cloud platforms, SQL, Python, BI tools, data architecture, ETL processes, version control, and CI/CD practices will be essential in fulfilling the requirements of the role. To excel in this position, you should have at least 7 years of experience in data engineering/BI development on cloud platforms, proficiency in AWS services, advanced SQL skills, Python programming capabilities, and a solid understanding of BI visualization tools like Power BI. Additionally, you should possess knowledge of asset-backed finance, borrowing-base mechanics, advance rates, and waterfall structures. As a candidate, you are expected to have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, accountability, initiative, problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to learn new technologies. Strong organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and collaborate effectively within a team are crucial for success in this role. Ideally, you should hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or relevant work experience in a fixed income investment management firm. Certifications such as AWS Data Analytics and Power BI Data Analyst would be advantageous. At Oaktree, we are committed to fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and diverse work environment where employees are supported through training, career development opportunities, and philanthropic initiatives. If you are a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with a passion for data engineering and BI development, we invite you to apply and be part of our dynamic team dedicated to achieving excellence in alternative investments.,
