The Software domain within Information Technology is your area of expertise, involving the development, deployment, management, and maintenance of software applications supporting business processes and user needs. This encompasses various aspects such as development, application lifecycle management, requirement analysis, QA, security & compliance, and maintaining applications and infrastructure. Your responsibilities include writing, testing, and documenting technical work products in adherence to organizational standards. You will devote time to enhancing the quality and craftsmanship of products and systems. Conducting root cause analysis to identify domain-level issues and proposing action plans to address them is an essential aspect of your role. Designing self-contained systems within your team's domain and leading the implementation of significant capabilities in existing systems are key responsibilities. As an Engineer, IT Software, you will coach team members in techniques to enhance reliability, resiliency, security, and performance. Your role involves decomposing complex and interconnected designs into implementations that can be effectively built and maintained by less experienced engineers. Anticipating challenges in systems under development and guiding the team in instrumentation practices for observability and supportability are crucial tasks. You will define test suites and instrumentation to ensure that latency and availability targets are consistently met in production. Leading by example, you will prioritize addressing open vulnerabilities and evaluate potential attack surfaces in systems, recommending best practices for mitigation. Collaboration with global teams to identify work batches delivering high value quickly is part of your responsibilities. Your success in this role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Additionally, you should have at least 1 year of experience in designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments. Proficiency in Java/Python, Angular, SQL-PostgreSQL, JavaScript, Spring-boot/Spring, API Development, and knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure/AWS are mandatory skills. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent experience/training and Airline Industry experience. Proficiency in various technologies such as programming languages, frameworks, deployment technologies, source control, CICD, data management, integration/APIs, and cloud providers is essential for success in this role. Your ability to optimize solutions for performance, resiliency, and reliability while maintaining simplicity, along with effective communication skills at all organizational levels, will be critical. Proficiency in object-oriented design, Agile methodologies, DevOps Toolchain methodologies, and other relevant competencies is advantageous for excelling in this position.
