Role Overview: As a Senior Associate in the B2B Commercial Excellence vertical of the Center of Excellence (CoE) at BCN, you will drive client impact by combining technical problem-solving with go-to-market expertise. Your role will involve working with business and internal teams to own, deploy, and manage some of Bains state-of-the-art Commercial Excellence products. You will lead end-to-end workstreams within client projects, ensuring timely, high quality, error-free analysis and output produced by the team. This position requires a blend of individual contribution and leadership, where you will contribute hands-on to analytics and solution design while also coaching junior team members under the guidance of the COE Manager/Senior Manager. Key Responsibilities: - Day to day work planning and team management. You will be responsible for scoping and delegating work streams, monitoring and balancing workloads within the team. - Leading end-to-end workstreams within client projects, ensuring timely, high quality, error-free analysis and output produced by the team. - Bringing strong problem-solving skills combined with specialized knowledge of various analytical tools and best practices to deploy them effectively. - Individually contributing through advanced analytics including data cleaning, feature engineering, modeling, dashboarding, and storytelling. - Applying and guiding the use of Python (mandatory) and other tools such as R, SQL, Tableau, Alteryx to design and implement pricing solutions. - Translating data into actionable insights to shape client strategy, commercial excellence, and pricing interventions. - Coaching and mentoring Associates/Analysts on technical problem-solving and structured delivery. - Brainstorming with the BCN Manager/Sr. Manager and Bain consulting/specialist team on various aspects of a client project or new IP development. - Driving conversations through analytics to help drive insights through data analysis and story-lining the deliverable to prove/disprove hypotheses in the best interest of the client/project. - Providing responsible feedback, coaching, and mentoring to analysts and associates, addressing their professional development needs. - Assisting in other CoE related activities such as recruiting, training, and events. Qualifications Required: - For candidates with undergraduate studies as the highest qualification: 5-8 years of hands-on industry experience in consulting/analytics with exposure to B2B pricing or commercial excellence and a strong academic record. - For candidates with postgraduate studies as the highest qualification: 3-6 years of hands-on industry experience in consulting/analytics with exposure to B2B pricing or commercial excellence and a strong academic record. - Proven ability to deliver hands-on analytics while leading teams in fast-paced environments. - Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are required. Proficiency and experience in Python, R, SQL, and analytical tools (such as Alteryx, Tableau) will be preferred. - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, work planning, communication, and team leading skills are essential for this role.
