Senior Architect - Application Migration & Modernization

As a Senior Architect specializing in Application Migration & Modernization, you will play a crucial role in architecting and overseeing the transformation of complex legacy applications into modern cloud-native architectures. Your responsibilities will include leading migration initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders, providing technical leadership and mentorship, developing migration strategies and roadmaps, optimizing cloud architectures, ensuring security and compliance, overseeing project execution, and promoting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. Key Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end migration and modernization strategies for legacy applications, ensuring seamless transition to cloud environments - Design cloud-native solutions such as microservices, containers, serverless computing, and other modern architectures - Collaborate with senior business leaders and clients to develop tailored migration and modernization strategies - Mentor a team of architects, developers, and engineers to implement cloud-native solutions - Assess existing application portfolios, identify modernization opportunities, and build detailed roadmaps for migration - Design scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures for migrated applications - Ensure migration initiatives align with security best practices, compliance standards, and organizational risk management policies - Oversee the successful execution of migration projects from design through deployment - Continuously optimize processes, tools, and methodologies for improved migration efficiency Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar technical field - 10+ years of experience as an architect or senior software engineer - Proven expertise in Cloud Architecture with a strong understanding of Azure, GCP, and/or AWS - Extensive experience in leading large-scale application migration and modernization initiatives - Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms and cloud-native services - Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architectures, and container orchestration - Excellent leadership and communication skills - Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect (Note: No additional details about the company were provided in the job description),
