Senior Android Engineer, Client Platforms

Role Overview: You will be accountable for the successful and timely delivery of projects or aspects of projects in the Client Platform domain. This development role involves working within various Scrum and Kanban teams in different geographic locations globally. Your responsibilities include analyzing functional requirements, designing and implementing solutions based on SDLC, participating in the technical design of Android applications, coding, testing, and deploying Android applications or parts of applications within Scrum or Kanban teams. You are expected to deliver high-quality code meeting KPIs and collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts for appropriate design and implementation. Furthermore, you will collaborate with test engineers to minimize defects in QA and identify areas of improvement. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze functional requirements and design solutions based on SDLC - Implement solutions for Android applications within Scrum or Kanban teams - Deliver high-quality code meeting KPIs - Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts for design and implementation - Work with test engineers to minimize defects in QA - Identify areas of improvement and change in the development process Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Mathematics - 5+ years of hands-on experience developing Android apps - Expert level understanding of Android SDK and development paradigms - High proficiency in Java language and strong proficiency in Kotlin language - Preferred experience with RxKotlin or similar reactive frameworks - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills - Good verbal and written communication skills - Demonstrable experience in agile methodology, especially Scrum - Ability to work in a dynamic environment with fast-paced deliveries Company Details: UBS, the world's largest and truly global wealth manager, operates through four business divisions: Global Wealth Management, Personal & Corporate Banking, Asset Management, and the Investment Bank.
