Senior Analyst, Software Developer Backend

Role Responsibilities -

As a Software Developer , your focus will be developing and implementing backend software solutions. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java-based microservices.

• Integrate new third-party data sources into the platform, ensuring reliability and performance.

• Participate in language modernization and dependency version upgrades across backend systems.

• Implement backend security best practices, including secure API design, data protection, and vulnerability mitigation.

• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless data exchange and API compatibility.

• Work closely with QA, infrastructure, and data teams to support platform stability and scalability.

• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and infrastructure automation.

We expect you to have: (Minimum Qualifications)

Experience Level

• 4+ years in backend software development

• Programming Languages: Java

• Architecture: Java-based microservices, RESTful API design

• Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL

• Cloud Platforms: AWS (cloud-native services)

• Version Control & Collaboration: Git, Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)

• Containerization & CI/CD: Docker, CI/CD orchestration tools

• Scripting: Shell scripting and Bash

• Security: Secure coding practices, backend security principles

Soft Skills:

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

• Effective communication and collaboration across teams

It would be great if you (Preferred Qualifications)

• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform

• Exposure to observability and performance monitoring tools

• Awareness of AI-assisted development tools
