The Insights and Decision Science (IDS) team is dedicated to enabling improved decision-making at Novartis by leveraging data and advanced analytics capabilities to generate actionable insights that drive business growth. We collaborate closely with the US business, bringing insights and challenging ideas to empower smarter, data-driven decision-making. The Resource Optimization team, within IDS , plays a crucial role is enabling data driven investment decisions for existing products as well as new launchesThis role is crucial in providing a rational foundation for investment decision-making by applying scientific and economic disciplines and techniques. With expertise in developing complex statistical models and measurement techniques, the Senior Analyst utilizes a range of methodologies, including mathematics, statistical methods, engineering methods, and operational mathematics techniques for enabling rational investment decisions
About The Role
Senior Analyst - Resource Optimization

Major Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced analytical solutions as an individual contributor for various projects related to marketing mix models and resource allocations, in close collaboration with senior associates in the team
- Provide with new data driven ideas and actionable recommendations that enables better decision-making and enhance the business excellence.
- Bring in operational efficiencies in the existing processes by closely working with senior associates in the team.
- Deliver through structured project management approach with appropriate documentation and communication throughout project delivery cycle.
- Support in creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality checklists (QCs) that will enable excellent quality outputs within the function.

Minimum Requirements
Education (minimum/desirable):
Bachelor's degree in related field is required; Master of Science and/or MBA strongly preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in resource optimization, strategic planning, or a similar role within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Deep understanding of marketing mix models (MMMs) and new advancements in the field of resource optimization
- Support in creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality checklists (QCs) that will enable excellent quality outputs within the function.
- Proficiency in data science tools and software, such as Python, PySpark, R, Databricks etc
- Exceptional business acumen, paired with a deep understanding of business dynamics in the context of the pharmaceutical industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate and present business problems and solutions to key stakeholders persuasively.
