Job Description

Your role at Evolent Health as a Senior Analyst, Clinical Analytics will involve working closely with a team of Risk and Quality Analysts to develop and maintain reporting capabilities. You will be responsible for analyzing data, producing reports, and connecting model output to client and program operations. Additionally, you will become a key resource in understanding how risk adjustment applies to various lines of business and identifying quality measure opportunities. Your role will also involve quantifying and forecasting operational returns related to risk adjustment and HEDIS quality measures. Working in a collaborative environment with other innovative professionals, you will design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge risk adjustment and quality reporting solutions. This includes measuring and forecasting risk scores, forecasting quality STARs, monitoring model performance, and identifying areas of improvement. Utilizing tools like SQL and Python, you will produce insights to enhance processes and conduct research to share both internally and externally. To be successful in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative major (e.g. actuarial, statistics, economics, engineering, computer science, operations research, applied math) or a healthcare major (health administration, public health). You should have 4-6 years of experience in health analytics, quantitative analysis, or software engineering/programming, along with technical proficiency in MS Office, SQL, Python, and/or SAS. Experience with machine learning concepts and strong communication and presentation skills are essential. A collaborative working style, ability to multitask, prioritize, adapt to change, and work well under pressure in an entrepreneurial environment are also key requirements. Preferred qualifications include the ability to apply technical specifications to healthcare datasets, experience with Medicare, Medicaid, or ACA risk adjustment models, and familiarity with Medicare STARS quality measures. In terms of academic qualifications, a Bachelor's degree is preferred, but candidates with programming-specific associates may also be considered.
