Senior Advisor - Model Risk Management

As a Senior Advisor in Model Risk Management at First Citizens India (FCI) office in Bangalore, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the global Model Risk Management (MRM) program. Your role will involve conducting independent model validations to ensure models align with business objectives and design objectives. You will be an integral member of the global MRM organization, collaborating with the team and acting as their point of contact in India. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct thorough and comprehensive validations of various model components - Analyze model inputs to assess data quality, integrity, and appropriateness - Evaluate model framework, design, and construction - Review model code for correctness and accuracy - Assess outcomes analysis, risk identification, and mitigation - Produce high-quality validation reports - Assist in audit and regulatory review support - Stay updated with emerging trends in model validation and regulatory requirements - Develop and maintain model governance documentation - Interact with key stakeholders throughout the model lifecycle - Contribute towards remediation efforts for model-related issues **Qualifications Required:** - Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, particularly stress testing and capital planning - Experience in statistical tools like Python and R - Proficiency in using SQL for data extraction - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Strategic planning and analytical skills - Stakeholder management skills - Efficient workflow and process design skills - Bachelor/Masters degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field - Proficiency in Microsoft Office - 2+ years of experience in model development, validation, or implementation in the financial industry - Knowledge of statistical and machine learning models - Strong understanding of model development and validation techniques At First Citizens India, we are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible hiring process.
