Job Description

Position: Senior Accounts Executive

Department: Finance & Accounts

Location: Earth Icon, Ajwa (Vadodara, Gujarat)

Reporting To: Accounts Manager / CFO

Job Purpose

The Senior Accounts Executive will be responsible for end-to-end accounting, including ledger-to-balance sheet preparation, statutory compliances, and financial reporting for a private limited company. The role requires knowledge equivalent to Inter CA level, with strong exposure to GST, TDS, company finalization, and manufacturing cost accounting.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Bookkeeping

  • Record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions in ERP/Tally/.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor bills, purchase orders, and customer invoices.
  • Prepare journal entries, bank reconciliations, and petty cash management.
  • Write and maintain complete books of accounts for a private limited company.

2. Ledger to Balance Sheet & Finalization

  • Independently handle ledger scrutiny, trial balance preparation, and balance sheet finalization.
  • Prepare Profit & Loss accounts, cash flow statements, and schedules.
  • Assist in company financial audits and statutory filings.

3. Statutory Compliance (GST, TDS & Others)

  • Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, annual returns, reconciliations).
  • Handle TDS computation, deduction, and return filings.
  • Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, and other statutory requirements.
  • Support in income tax assessments and company law compliances.

4. Inventory & Costing

  • Maintain accounting of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Support costing team in product costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
  • Coordinate with production and stores for stock verification and reconciliation.

5. Audit & Documentation

  • Prepare and maintain all schedules required for statutory, cost, and internal audits.
  • Ensure proper documentation of vouchers, ledgers, and supporting bills.
  • Timely closure of audit queries and compliance reports.

6. Financial Reporting & MIS

  • Prepare MIS reports, cost sheets, and dashboards for management review.
  • Highlight variances in costs, revenues, and expenses.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, GST, TDS, and company law compliance.
  • Ability to prepare ledger to balance sheet independently.
  • Proficiency in Tally/ERP and advanced Excel (Pivot, VLOOKUP, MIS).
  • Exposure to finalization of accounts for private limited companies.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications & Experience

  • B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) / Inter CA (preferred).
  • 3-6 years of experience in accounts, taxation, and company finalization.
  • Experience in manufacturing sector.
