Senior Accountant, E-commerce Client Services

As a Senior Accountant for the E-commerce Client Services team at Easy Works, you will be responsible for managing the accounting and taxation needs of e-commerce seller clients. Your role will involve overseeing accounting processes, ensuring compliance with Indian Accounting Standards, and providing valuable financial insights to clients. You will also play a key role in handling taxation and statutory compliance, as well as building strong relationships with clients. Key Responsibilities: - Manage the full-cycle accounting process for multiple e-commerce clients, ensuring adherence to Indian Accounting Standards. - Supervise inventory accounting for businesses dealing with physical goods, including cost of goods sold (COGS) and valuation. - Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to offer actionable insights to clients. - Utilize accounting software such as Tally ERP and/or Zoho Books effectively for client operations and reporting. - Ensure timely and accurate computation and filing of GST returns like GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C, and reconciliation for clients. - Handle all aspects of Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) compliance, including computation, deposit, and filing of quarterly returns. - Manage corporate tax compliance and provide guidance on complex e-commerce-specific issues like TCS under GST. - Act as the primary accounting and tax point of contact for assigned clients, offering advisory services to optimize GST and Income Tax liabilities. Qualifications Required: - Education: B.Com / M.Com / Semi-qualified CA / Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA). - Experience: Minimum 2 years of working experience with a Chartered Accountant (CA) Firm. - Core Knowledge: Strong understanding of Accounting Principles, GST, and TDS provisions in India. - Software Proficiency: Expertise in Tally ERP is essential, while proficiency in Zoho Books or similar platforms is a plus. - Industry Preference: Experience in managing accounting and taxation for e-commerce businesses is preferred. - Location: Willingness to work from the Gurgaon office.
