Senior Accountant

Job Title: Senior Accountant Department: Finance & Accounting Location: Gurugram, Haryana Reports To: Accounting Manager / CFO Job Type: Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. This position requires strong analytical skills, thorough knowledge of accounting principles, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial statements. Maintain and ensure the accuracy of the general ledger in accordance with GAAP. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes. Support external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation. Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner. Coordinate with other departments to gather necessary financial data. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Mentor junior accounting staff and support their professional development. Participate in system and process improvement initiatives. Qualifications Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Masters or CPA preferred). Minimum 46 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a corporate or public accounting environment. Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
