About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly responsible Senior Accountant to manage and oversee our companys financial operations, statutory compliance, and internal financial controls. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial reporting, supporting audits, managing taxation, and driving process improvements within the finance function. Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Accounting & Statutory Compliance Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Perform accruals, prepayments, and trial balance finalization. Ensure accurate ledgers and records for audit readiness. GST Compliance: File all GSTR returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.) Calculate and reconcile Input Tax Credit (ITC). Handle GST audits, assessments, and departmental correspondence. TDS & Income Tax: Ensure timely deduction and payment of TDS. File TDS returns and ensure section-wise compliance. Assist in advance tax computation, ITR preparation, and Tax Audit coordination. 2. General Operations & Book Integrity Post and review journal entries daily, weekly, and monthly. Maintain accurate ledgers for accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and others. Handle inter-company reconciliations and month-end closing activities including depreciation, provisions, and accruals. 3. Banking & Treasury Functions Monitor daily cash flow and bank balances. Reconcile bank statements with company records. 4. Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Management Prepare department-wise and consolidated budgets. Support financial forecasting and scenario planning. Work with leadership to monitor and control costs and identify areas for efficiency. 5. Audit & Financial Controls Prepare and manage schedules for internal and statutory audits. Liaise with external auditors and consultants. Implement and monitor Internal Financial Controls (IFC). 6. Team Management & SOP Development Supervise and review work of junior accountants. Allocate responsibilities and train team members on compliance and systems. Create and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounting tasks. 7. ERP & Reporting Tools Maintain and operate accounting systems such as Tally ERP 9, other ERP platforms. Use Microsoft Excel for reporting, data analysis (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, advanced formulas), and financial modelling. Prepare formal documentation and reports using Microsoft Word. Ideal Candidate Profile Qualifications Chartered Accountant (CA), CA-Intermediate, MBA (Finance), or M.Com. 5+ years of relevant experience in financial accounting, statutory compliance, and audit coordination. Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of Indian taxation laws (GST, TDS, Income Tax). Solid command over accounting principles (Ind AS / AS). High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems like Tally ERP 9. Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and manage a team.
