We are seeking a highly skilled PHP Developer with deep experience in MySQL and the CodeIgniter framework. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of database design and advanced query optimization techniques to ensure application performance, especially in high-load environments. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using PHP (CodeIgniter) and MySQL. - Analyze slow-performing queries and implement in-depth optimization techniques such as indexing, query restructuring, and caching mechanisms. - Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following best practices. - Perform regular performance tuning of MySQL databases including stored procedures, triggers, and views. Required Skills & Qualifications - Strong command of PHP and MySQL, with a minimum of 2 years in CodeIgniter framework. - Deep understanding of SQL query optimization—EXPLAIN and profiling, indexing strategies (composite, covering, partial), query plan analysis and refactoring. - Experience in designing normalized and denormalized schemas for high-performance use cases. - Familiarity with caching techniques (Memcached, Redis) is a plus. - Knowledge of MVC architecture and clean code principles. - Proficient in using tools like MySQL Workbench, phpMyAdmin, or similar for query analysis. - Comfortable with Linux environments and command-line MySQL operations. - Good communication skills and ability to work in a team. - Hands-on experience with Git for version control, branching, and merging workflows.
