Job Description

Job Summary:

Secondary Mathematics Teacher

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and academic goals.
Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and exams; provide timely and constructive feedback.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Integrate technology and real-life applications into lessons to enhance learning and engagement.
Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and development.
Participate actively in school events, departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development opportunities.
Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
Support students in preparing for standardized tests, competitions, and exams as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Recognized teaching qualification/certification (e.g., PGCE, B.Ed., State Licensure).
Proven experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level.
Excellent knowledge of curriculum frameworks ([e.g., IGCSE, IB, CBSE, or national curriculum]).
Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficient in using digital tools and educational technology.
A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Preferred Attributes:

Experience with [specific curriculum or international teaching experience].
Ability to lead math clubs, competitions, or enrichment programs.
Familiarity with differentiated instruction and inclusive education strategies.
