Secondary Design Engineer - Dead Tank Circuit Breaker

Role Overview: The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join their team in Chennai, Bangalore, or Gurugram. As part of the team, you will be responsible for preparing electrical schematic diagrams, reviewing SLD and protection logics, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Your contributions will have a direct impact on projects in more than 80 countries. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare electrical schematic diagrams using CAD tools like E3, AutoCAD, or other intelligent tools for high voltage Breakers (>66kV). - Review SLD, Protection, and Trip Logics, generate BoM, and create part numbers using SAP. - Coordinate and review schematic diagrams and 2D/3D drawings before submission to customers. - Prepare technical parameters for high voltage equipment and address technical queries from customers. - Support cross-functional teams such as SCM, project management, and quality in understanding customer requirements. - Assist onsite colleagues in installation and commissioning by providing technical support. - Coordinate with customers to resolve queries and ensure timely approval of engineering drawings. - Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's/Diploma in Electrical Engineering with 2-5 years of experience. - Proficiency in CAD tools like E3, AutoCAD, or similar software. - Familiarity with United States/North American design standards and IEEE is advantageous. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
