Search Engine Optimization Executive

As the SEO Lead for the Tamil website, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of SEO to drive organic traffic and enhance brand visibility. Your key responsibilities will include: - Taking ownership of end-to-end SEO activities, which encompass technical SEO, keyword research, competitor monitoring, content updating, reporting, and optimization. - Collaborating with cross-functional teams in tech, product, editorial, and social to increase organic traffic numbers and brand visibility. - Maximizing organic traffic growth by creating a comprehensive SEO target keyword list and closely collaborating with the Content, Product, and Tech teams. - Educating the content team on the significance of SEO and guiding them on developing content strategies to boost organic traffic. - Co-creating content calendars, plans, and strategies with content leads to ensure successful execution. - Developing and overseeing Google Analytics dashboards, reports, and other key reporting tools to track website traffic effectively. - Conducting competitor research and analysis, identifying gaps, and implementing real-time improvements. - Implementing best SEO practices and staying updated on the latest Google algorithm changes. Reviewing written content for SEO effectiveness and providing recommendations based on data insights. The ideal candidate for this role should possess: - 2 to 4 years of SEO experience. - A Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution. - A proven track record of driving growth in Data/Product SEO traffic. - Background in News Media. - Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in Tamil. - Familiarity with SEO reporting and analytical tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, ScreamingFrog, SEMRush, Ahrefs.com, Comscore (an added advantage). - Self-motivation and a proactive approach to staying updated on industry trends. Language proficiency in Tamil is a must, and knowledge of Malayalam would be an added benefit.,
