Job Description

As a member of our System Test team at Nutanix, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our products. You will be responsible for test planning, test scenario design, test case development, and test automation suite development. By leveraging your expertise, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our products, influencing product design, and instilling a quality-first mindset within our development practices. Your role will involve the automation of complex tests to mimic customer environments and workloads, ensuring performance and scalability baselines are met. Working within the Nutanix Cloud Manager team, you will have the opportunity to be part of building the next-generation platform for enterprise application management. Reporting to the Senior Manager Engineering, QA - NCM Team, you will be the gatekeeper of product quality, ensuring that product releases meet the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing a testing framework, creating test tools and test cases, maintaining test beds, and providing valuable metrics on test/quality status. To excel in this role, you should be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced technology environment. You will be expected to take ownership of our automation and delivery systems, actively participate in coding and code reviews, and demonstrate expertise in languages such as Python, Java, and PHP. Proficiency with automation and building tools like Selenium, JMeter, and Jenkins is essential, along with a strong systems background in Linux systems and exposure to Process, Memory, and IO Management tools. Your contribution will enable our engineers to generate high-quality releases with every commit, identify defects early in the development cycle, and iterate rapidly. You should have excellent programming and scripting capabilities to develop code for automated tests, along with a solid problem-solving approach and hands-on knowledge of Algorithms & Data Structures. A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a similar role is required to succeed in this position. This hybrid role offers a blend of remote work and in-person collaboration, with the expectation of being in the office a minimum of 2-3 days per week. Certain roles or teams may require more frequent in-office presence, and additional guidance will be provided by your manager to ensure effective teamwork and communication.,
