SDET III (UI & Backend Testing)

As a Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET III) at Arise Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards for our products by writing and maintaining both UI and backend automation tests. Your responsibilities will include the following: - Test Automation Development: - Define automation strategy (functional/non-functional) for a product. - Proficient in automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Rest Assured, Postman, TestNG, and Cucumber. - Write automated API/WebSocket tests using Java/Rest Assured and Postman for RESTful APIs and WebSocket validation. - Create data-driven tests and automate API validation against different environments. - Ensure robust API coverage, including edge cases and negative test scenarios. - Write, review, and maintain test cases covering functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. - Experience in testing web services/distributed systems and understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases. - Framework & Tooling: - Design scalable, reusable, and extensible automation frameworks using Java, Selenium/WebDriver, Rest Assured, Postman, and Cucumber. - Develop PoC on problem statements related to test automation. - Experience in performance testing using tools like JMeter/locust. - Implement code coverage tools like Jococo/coburtura. - Agile and Continuous Integration (CI/CD): - Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). - Ensure tests are executed as part of the build and deployment processes. - Participate in Agile ceremonies and work in an iterative, fast-paced environment. - Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: - Exceptional technical problem-solving skills. - Ability to debug, isolate, and fix issues in test code and application code. - Experience in performance testing, stress testing, and identifying potential bottlenecks. - Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: - Partner with product management, development, and operations teams. - Work closely with developers to design and implement test strategies. - Lead cross-functional communication to ensure alignment on quality standards. In addition to the above responsibilities, the ideal candidate should possess knowledge of mobile test automation tools like Appium, familiarity with cloud-based testing environments (AWS, Azure), experience in the game industry or game-specific automation, and familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
