On one side you have over a million college graduates every year with barely 5% employability rates and on the other side, there are thousands of companies struggling to find talent Newton School aims to bridge this massive gap through its personalized learning platform We are building an online university and solving the deep problem of the employability of graduates, We have a strong core team consisting of alumni from IITs and IIM, having several years of industry experience in companies like Unacademy, Inmobi, Ola, and Microsoft among others On this mission, we are backed by some of the most respected investors around the world, RTP Global, Nexus Venture Partners, and a slew of angel investors including CREDs Kunal Shah, Flipkarts Kalyan Krishnamoorthy, Unacademy and Razorpay founders, Udaans Sujeet Kumar among others, About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and experienced professional to join as an SDE + SMEComputer Networks in our Computer Science Department This unique dual-role position combines academic instruction with practical engineering insights Youll be responsible for delivering engaging lectures, mentoring students, designing and running labs, and contributing to the academic excellence of the department, Key Responsibilities Curriculum Design & Delivery: Develop, structure, and deliver high-quality course material and labs in Computer Networks, Hands-On Labs: Design and manage lab sessions that reinforce theoretical concepts through hands-on experience, Academic Mentorship: Guide, support, and mentor students in both academic and career-related areas, Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with university and Newton School stakeholders to align curriculum and student outcomes with industry needs, Ownership of Student Success: Take responsibility for ensuring student engagement, understanding, and overall success, Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends to continuously refine teaching content and approach, Must-Have Qualifications Minimum 0 4 years of hands-on experience in Computer Networks, Proficient in Linux/Unix commands and shell scripting, Clean coding practices and ability to demonstrate practical coding knowledge, In-depth knowledge of Operating Systems and Networking fundamentals: ?? OSI & TCP/IP models ?? Protocols: TCP, UDP, IP ?? Firewalls, VPNs, encryption (SSL/TLS) ?? Process scheduling, multitasking, memory management Exceptional communication and teaching skills with the ability to break down complex technical topics, Willingness to relocate and work full-time from Sonipat campus
