SDE 2 Backend (ROR)

You will be working as a Software Development Engineer II at Hiver, playing a critical role in building and scaling the product to serve thousands of users globally. Hiver processes over 5 million emails daily for active users on the platform. Your responsibilities will include working on complex technical challenges such as enhancing system scalability, monitoring and improving performance, and ensuring reliability. You will code, design, develop, and maintain new product features while enhancing existing services for performance and scalability. Key Responsibilities: - Own the complete product lifecycle, including defining product features, system improvements, and addressing technical debt - Participate in code reviews and promote code quality across multiple projects - Coach junior engineers, promote best coding and testing practices - Track project timelines accurately and ensure timely delivery of projects - Engage in brainstorming sessions to design innovative solutions and oversee successful releases - Instrument and troubleshoot distributed systems Qualifications Required: - Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a Backend developer in Ruby On Rails or other backend scripting languages (Node.js, PHP, Python, Java) - Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, low-level design, and system design - Experience in building and maintaining production-grade services used by a significant number of active users - Proficiency in relational databases (e.g., MySQL) and some experience with NoSQL databases - Familiarity with distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), and Kubernetes experience is a plus,
