SDE-1 Python Developer

As a Software Development Engineer - 1 (SDE-1) at our company, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing APIs using Python and FastAPI for backend development. Your proficiency in Python, especially with frameworks like FastAPI, and knowledge of gRPC Server & Client implementation will be crucial for building high-performance APIs. Understanding asynchronous programming (async/await) will help improve scalability and response time. You will also be expected to work with Docker for containerization, creating Docker images, configuring Dockerfiles, and deploying applications inside containers. Additionally, knowledge of container orchestration using Kubernetes and concepts like Pods, Deployments, Services, and ConfigMaps will be essential. Maintaining coding best practices, conducting code reviews, and ensuring high-quality, modular, maintainable, and testable code will be part of your responsibilities. Familiarity with tools like linters, formatters, and version control systems such as Git will aid in maintaining coding standards. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including frontend and DevOps to ensure smooth integration and delivery of applications. Enforcing coding standards, writing unit tests, and contributing to code reviews will be critical for maintaining high-quality code. To excel in this position as an SDE-1, you are expected to have 1-3 years of experience, demonstrating leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. Your role will involve utilizing Docker for deployment and Kubernetes for scalability, aiming to achieve high availability of applications. Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing practices, and cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure will be beneficial for this role.,
