Job Description

Role & responsibilities Organizing and facilitating Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives. Ensuring that the Scrum events are effective, time-boxed, and focused on achieving their objectives. Identifying and removing impediments that obstruct the team's progress or productivity. Acting as a servant-leader by enabling the team to self-organize and make decisions while providing guidance and support. Shielding the team from external interference or distractions, allowing them to focus on their work during the Sprint. Advocating for the team's needs and ensuring they have the resources and environment required for success. Providing coaching and guidance to the team on agile principles, practices, and values. Helping the team improve continuously by fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and self-improvement. Promoting transparency by ensuring that the team's progress, impediments, and issues are visible to stakeholders through tools like burndown charts, task boards, and information radiators. Facilitating communication and collaboration between the team and stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of goals and priorities. Fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment where individuals feel empowered, motivated, and valued. Encouraging open communication, trust, and respect among team members to enhance collaboration and problem-solving. Facilitating Sprint Retrospectives to reflect on the team's processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Encouraging experimentation and adaptation to embrace change and respond effectively to evolving requirements and challenges. Preferred candidate profile Candidates with any of the below certifications will be preferred: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) offered by the Scrum Alliance Professional Scrum Master (PSM) offered by Scrum.org A strong understanding of Agile principles and methodologies is essential for a Scrum Master. Candidates should have practical experience working in Agile environments and familiarity with Scrum roles, events, and artifacts. A bachelor's degree in fields such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related fields. Candidates having relevant work experience will be preferred. Candidates should have previous experience in roles such as project management, program management or team leadership. Experience working in Agile teams or as a Scrum Master in previous projects is highly desirable. Effective communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills are critical to facilitate collaboration and maintain team dynamics. Strong interpersonal skills, leadership abilities, and a customer-focused mindset. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development is essential. Engaging in community forums, attending workshops, and staying updated on industry best practices to enhance skills and knowledge.
