Job Description

Role Overview: As a Scientist-II at USP, you will be working in the Reference Standard Laboratory in a non-supervisory position. Your main responsibilities will include performing required tests for projects, maintaining a GLP environment in the laboratory, and collaborating with teams for efficient laboratory operations. You will utilize your technical expertise and knowledge of pharmaceutical analysis to ensure accurate testing and contribute to the overall success of the projects. Key Responsibilities: - Execute all testing and analyze data with excellence and minimal errors. - Support Verification, GPH, PQM, stability, and other departmental teams with testing when required. - Manage sample archival, sample tracking, and chemical inventory tracking in the laboratory. - Coordinate with supervisors to ensure timely completion of assigned projects. - Perform equipment calibration as per schedule and prepare IQ/OQ/PQ of new instruments. - Maintain availability of chemicals and equipment for projects and process purchase requisitions. - Uphold lab safety and GLP practices, actively participate in internal and external audits. - Take on additional responsibilities assigned by the supervisor as needed. Qualifications Required: - Master's degree in Chemistry or Pharmacy. - 3 to 6 years of relevant laboratory experience. - Strong analytical chemistry knowledge with the ability to analyze data from various tests. - Proficiency in chromatographic analysis, especially in HPLC, and other analytical instrumentation. - Knowledge of pharmaceutical testing requirements, compendial methods, and regulatory guidelines. - Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. - Familiarity with Empower software and ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently. - Understanding of GLP regulations and exposure to regulatory audits.
