JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are currently seeking skilled, experienced and motivated Laboratory Assistants (Should be able to handle Physics, Chemistry & Biology labs) to join our team. The Lab Assistant will be responsible for supporting their respective department in facilitating laboratory activities, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for students.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lab Setup and Coordination: Prepare and set up experiments and demonstrations in alignment with the school curriculum. Coordinate with teachers to ensure the smooth execution of laboratory sessions.

Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular checks and maintenance of laboratory equipment and report any equipment issues promptly and assist in coordinating repairs.

Student Support: Assist students during lab sessions, providing guidance on experiment procedures, thus fostering a positive and engaging atmosphere in the lab to encourage student participation and curiosity.

Data Management: Collaborate with teachers and students to collect and organize experimental data and assist in the analysis and interpretation of data as required.

Inventory Control: Maintain an organized inventory of physics laboratory supplies, chemicals, and equipment. Assist in the procurement of new materials and equipment as needed.

Safety Compliance: Ensure that safety protocols are strictly adhered to within the physics laboratory by conducting regular safety inspections and oversee the availability of safety equipment.

Lab Cleanup: Supervise the cleanup of the physics laboratory after each session and ensure proper disposal of waste materials in accordance with safety guidelines.

Documentation: Keep accurate records of experiments, equipment maintenance, and inventory. Assist in the preparation of reports and documentation for academic and administrative purposes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in related field is mandatory.
• Prior experience in a school laboratory setting is mandatory
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and experiment procedures.
• Should have good English communication skills.
• Should also have strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Must possess good multi-tasking skills.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.
