Responsibilities:

• Thermal System Design: Design thermal management systems including heat dissipation, thermal isolation, and temperature control systems for spacecraft and satellites.
• Thermal Analysis: Perform detailed thermal analysis using specialized software tools to predict temperature distributions, heat transfer, and thermal behaviour in space environments.
• Component Selection: Select and specify thermal hardware including heat sinks, thermal straps, MLI blankets, heaters, and thermal interface materials.
• Testing Coordination: Coordinate thermal testing activities including thermal vacuum testing, thermal cycling, and component-level thermal characterization.
• Design Optimization: Optimize thermal designs for mass, power, and performance requirements while meeting mission thermal requirements.
• Documentation: Prepare thermal analysis reports, design specifications, and technical documentation for design reviews and customer deliverables.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineers to integrate thermal solutions into overall spacecraft design.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field with emphasis on heat transfer and thermal systems.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in thermal engineering, preferably with spacecraft or satellite thermal systems.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in thermal analysis software (ANSYS, SIL, TMG, or similar), heat transfer principles, and thermal system design.
• Space Environment Knowledge: Understanding of space thermal environment, thermal requirements for space systems, and thermal testing methods.
• Problem-solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail and accuracy.
