Title: Senior UI5 Consultant Location: Bangalore Experience Level: 6-8 Years Job Summary: Senior UI5 Consultant, will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality UI5 applications. Will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver user-friendly, efficient, and scalable solutions. Expected to leverage your expertise in SAP UI5/Fiori, HTML5, JavaScript, and OData services to provide innovative solutions aligned with SAP best practices. This role involves hands-on development, solution architecture and leading junior consultants, along with interacting with clients to understand and deliver on business requirements. Key Responsibilities: 1. UI5 Application Development: Design and develop custom SAP UI5 applications using JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and SAPUI5 libraries. Develop applications following SAP Fiori design principles for optimal user experience. Ensure applications are responsive and compatible across multiple devices and screen resolutions. 2. Solution Architecture & Design: Architect efficient and reusable solutions for complex business requirements. Collaborate with SAP Functional Consultants to understand the functional requirements and map them to a technical solution. Design OData services to support UI5 applications and ensure smooth integration with backend systems. 3. Technical Expertise: Utilize expertise in SAP UI5, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, JSON, XML, and AJAX to build robust applications. Implement complex business logic using JavaScript, and customize SAP Fiori apps based on customer requirements. Perform data binding, model management, and handle complex view-controller relationships in SAPUI5. 4. OData Services Integration: Develop, extend, and troubleshoot OData services to integrate SAP UI5 applications with SAP backend systems. Ensure seamless data retrieval and submission between the frontend and backend systems. 5. Collaboration & Project Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including SAP Basis, Security, and Functional Consultants, for a holistic project approach. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including understanding client needs and articulating solutions. Mentor junior developers and provide guidance on UI5 best practices and troubleshooting. 6. Quality Assurance & Testing: Perform unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing of applications. Conduct code reviews to ensure quality, readability, and adherence to SAP UI5 best practices. Optimize application performance, focusing on speed and efficient memory use. 7. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Document technical design specifications, coding guidelines, and other relevant information. Lead knowledge transfer sessions and actively contribute to the teams knowledge base. Key Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 6-8 years of hands-on experience with SAP UI5, SAP Fiori, JavaScript, and web development technologies. Proficient in SAP UI5 libraries, Fiori application architecture, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks. Strong understanding of OData protocols, REST APIs, and integration with SAP backend systems. Experienced in debugging and performance optimization of SAP UI5 applications. Knowledge of SAP ABAP or SAP Gateway is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze complex business requirements and architect simple solutions. Excellent communication and client management skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment. This role is ideal for an experienced UI5 consultant with a strong development background and an interest in creating user-centric, high-performance SAP applications that drive business outcomes.
