SAP Technical Specialist

As a SAP Technical Specialist focusing on High Availability (HA) setups, your main responsibility will be to design, implement, and test HA configurations for SAP HANA and application servers. You will work towards ensuring continuous availability and disaster resilience for SAP environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. Collaborating with Basis and cloud teams, you will integrate HA solutions with the existing infrastructure, configure clustering, replication, and backup solutions for critical systems, and support DR drills, failover tests, and incident response plans. Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and test HA configurations for SAP HANA and application servers - Ensure continuous availability and disaster resilience for SAP environments - Collaborate with Basis and cloud teams to integrate HA solutions with existing infrastructure - Configure clustering, replication, and backup solutions for critical systems - Support DR drills, failover tests, and incident response plans Qualifications Required: - Expertise in SAP HA/DR setup and operations - Experience with tools such as SUSE HAE, Pacemaker, or Red Hat Cluster Suite - Strong working knowledge of SAP on GCP or similar environments - Familiarity with GCP failover and redundancy mechanisms, disaster recovery planning, and compliance standards Apart from technical skills, soft skills such as being thorough, reliable, and excellent in documentation are essential. You should be a clear communicator capable of collaborating effectively with both operations and business teams.
