Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP SCM APO PPDS Architect to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will possess strong functional knowledge of SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM) Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPDS). This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in designing and implementing effective architecture solutions that enhance supply chain processes.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and redesign APO custom developments (/SAPAPO/*) for embedded PP/DS.
• Remediate or retire obsolete function modules, BAPIs, and planning enhancements.
• Adapt or replace CIF related interfaces as CIF becomes internal in S/4HANA.
• Work with functional teams to align planning logic (heuristics, pegging, optimizer).
• Validate planning results, performance, and data consistency post migration.
• Support SPDD/SPAU activities and upgrade impact assessments.
• Design and implement SAP SCM APO PPDS solutions that meet business requirements and enhance operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Provide expert guidance on best practices for SAP SCM APO PPDS functionalities and configurations.
• Conduct system testing and validation to ensure the integrity and performance of the implemented solutions.
• Support end users through training and documentation, ensuring a smooth transition to new systems and processes.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system issues, providing timely resolutions to maintain optimal performance.
• Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and trends, recommending improvements to existing systems.

Mandatory Skills:

• Strong functional knowledge of SAP SCM APO PPDS.
• 5+ years ABAP experience, including 2/3 years in APO ABAP (especially PP/DS).
• Strong knowledge of CIF enhancements, planning books, macros, and planning engine logic.
