SAP MDG Consultant (SAP S/4 HANA)

• We are looking for an experienced

  SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Consultant

  with strong expertise in

  SAP S/4HANA

  to lead master data management initiatives. The candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP MDG solutions to ensure data consistency, quality, and compliance across enterprise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP MDG solutions within

  SAP S/4HANA

  landscape.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze master data management requirements.
• Configure and customize SAP MDG modules such as

  Material Master

  ,

  Supplier Master

  ,

  Customer Master

  ,

  Finance Master

  , and

  Product Master

  .
• Design and implement workflows, validations, and data quality checks to ensure governance and compliance.
• Provide subject matter expertise in master data lifecycle management and data governance best practices.
• Support integration of SAP MDG with other SAP and non-SAP systems using ALE/IDocs, APIs, or other interfaces.
• Lead testing activities including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Develop functional and technical documentation related to SAP MDG processes and solutions.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot issues related to master data inconsistencies or governance.
• Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions for business users and IT teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5 to 6 years of experience working with

  SAP MDG

  , preferably on

  SAP S/4HANA

  platform.
• Strong understanding of

  master data governance concepts

  , data quality, and data lifecycle management.
• Hands-on experience in configuring SAP MDG modules (Material, Supplier, Customer, Finance, etc.).
• Good knowledge of SAP S/4HANA data model and integration techniques.
• Experience in designing workflows, business rules, and validations within SAP MDG.
• Familiarity with SAP UI5/Fiori applications used in master data governance is a plus.
• Solid understanding of SAP integration technologies (ALE, IDocs, APIs).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with business and technical teams.
• Ability to work independently and lead small teams or projects.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in SAP MDG or SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with SAP Data Services or other ETL tools for data migration.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and tools outside SAP.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
