Sap Fico Lead

Job Summary :

The SAP FICO Lead will be responsible for the configuration, optimization, and support of SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) processes across the organizations renewable energy businesses — including solar, wind, hydro power generation, and solar module/cell manufacturing.

This role will collaborate closely with Finance, Controlling, and Operations teams to ensure SAP enables efficient, compliant, and transparent financial management across business units. The SAP FICO Lead will drive system enhancements, process harmonization, and digital transformation initiatives within the Digital IT team.

Key Responsibilities

System Configuration & Support

• Lead SAP FICO configuration, customization, and enhancements aligned with business requirements in areas such as:
• General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Asset Accounting (AA), Bank Accounting, and Taxation
• Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Internal Orders, Profit Center Accounting (PCA)
• Product Costing (CO-PC) and Profitability Analysis (CO-PA)
• Maintain and support integration between FICO and other modules (MM, SD, PP, PM, PS).
• Resolve system issues, manage change requests, and ensure SAP FICO stability and performance.

Business Process Optimization

• Partner with Finance and Operations teams to analyze and streamline financial processes across power generation, EPC, and manufacturing divisions.
• Support automation and digitalization initiatives and workflow integration.

Governance & Reporting

• Support financial closing, reporting, and reconciliation processes using SAP tools.
• Develop and maintain documentation, process flows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Project & Enhancement Management

• Collaborate with the SAP CoE and functional leads on minor rollout projects, upgrades, or new module activations.
• Coordinate with external consultants or vendors for system enhancements or issue resolution.
• Participate in testing, validation, and end-user training during enhancement rollouts.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Support integration between finance and manufacturing processes (solar module/cell production costing, inventory valuation, etc.).
• Engage with Digital IT leadership to align SAP finance processes with digital transformation goals.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems.
• 8–12 years of experience in SAP FICO configuration and support, preferably within the energy, utilities, or manufacturing sector.
• Strong knowledge of finance and controlling processes in power generation and manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience in product costing, asset accounting, and project system (PS) integration.
• Understanding of GST, TDS, and Indian statutory reporting requirements in SAP.
• SAP certification in FICO or S/4HANA Finance preferred.
