SAP FICO Consultant (Implementation)

Language Requirement: Bilingual Japanese JLPT N3 or above (mandatory)

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated SAP FICO Consultant with 1–3 years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO implementation, support, and configuration. The ideal candidate must be bilingual (JLPT N3 or higher), able to collaborate with Japanese stakeholders, and support end-to-end financial process transformation within SAP S/4HANA environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP FICO Implementation & Configuration
• Support end-to-end implementation of SAP FICO modules (Finance & Controlling) including requirement gathering, configuration, testing, and go-live activities. • Configure core FICO components: • General Ledger (GL) • Accounts Payable (AP) • Accounts Receivable (AR) • Asset Accounting (AA) • Cost Center Accounting (CCA) • Internal Orders / CO-PA • Assist in integration with other modules such as MM, SD, and PP.

2. Requirement Gathering & Documentation
• Work with Japanese and Indian business users to understand requirements and translate business needs into system specifications. • Prepare functional specifications, process documents, test scripts, and UAT support materials.

3. Testing & Deployment
• Execute unit testing, integration testing, and UAT. • Provide hypercare support post go-live, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth transition.

4. Support & Enhancement
• Handle L1/L2 support tickets related to FICO processes. • Perform minor enhancements, corrections, and configuration changes when required. • Support monthly/quarterly financial closing activities.

5. Stakeholder Communication
• Communicate effectively with Japanese clients and onsite teams (JLPT N3+ level). • Participate in daily/weekly project calls, document minutes, and follow up for closure of action items.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills
• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in SAP FICO configuration and implementation. • Understanding of key financial processes: • Procure-to-Pay (P2P) • Order-to-Cash (O2C) • Record-to-Report (R2R) • Good knowledge of integration points with other SAP modules. • Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Finance is an added advantage.

Language Skills
• Japanese JLPT N3 or above (speaking, reading, and writing). • Ability to handle functional discussions with Japanese stakeholders.

Soft Skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work in cross-cultural teams. • Good documentation and presentation skills. • High attention to detail and proactive approach.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with Japanese clients or teams. • Exposure to SAP Fiori apps and S/4HANA FICO innovations. • Basic understanding of tax processes (GST, TDS), asset accounting, and financial closing.

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related fields. • SAP FICO certification (preferred, not mandatory).
