SAP - FICO Consultant

Position Summary

The SAP FICO Consultant is responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP FI (Financial Accounting) and CO (Controlling) modules to meet business requirements. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders to analyze processes, identify improvement areas, design solutions, and ensure smooth integration with other SAP modules.

Key Responsibilities

1. Functional Expertise

• Configure and support SAP FI sub-modules:

  GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting (AA), Bank Accounting, New GL

  .
• Configure and support SAP CO sub-modules:

  Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Product Costing, COPA

  .
• Design and implement solutions for financial closing, reporting, and controlling processes.
  

2. Implementation & Configuration

• Lead or support SAP FICO full-cycle implementations, rollouts, and enhancement projects.
  
• Conduct requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, system configuration, unit testing, and UAT.
  
• Develop functional specifications for RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).
  

3. Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide day-to-day SAP FICO support to users, resolving issues in a timely manner.
  
• Coordinate with technical teams for debugging, enhancements, and system performance improvements.
  

4. Integration

• Work closely with teams handling

  MM, SD, PP, HR, PM

  and other SAP modules to ensure smooth integration.
• Support cross-module processes such as

  Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Record-to-Report

  .

5. Documentation & Training

• Prepare detailed documentation: functional specifications, configuration guides, test scripts, and user manuals.
  
• Conduct training sessions for business users and provide post-go-live support.
  

Qualifications & Skills

Required

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
  
• 3–8+ years of experience as an SAP FICO Consultant.
  
• Strong knowledge of financial processes, accounting principles, and controlling methods.
  
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance is highly preferred.
  
• Hands-on experience with New GL, Asset Accounting, COPA, and Product Costing.
  

Technical Skills

• Proficient in SAP configuration, testing, and documentation.
  
• Understanding of integration with MM/SD modules.
  
• Ability to write/understand functional specs for ABAP developments.
  

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
  

Optional / Preferred Experience

• Experience in S/4HANA migrations or greenfield implementations.
  
• Knowledge of Fiori apps for Finance.
  
• Exposure to Agile methodology.
  
• SAP certification in FI/CO.
