Role Overview

SAP BW Consultant

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement end-to-end
SAP BW/BI solutions
based on business requirements.
Work closely with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate requirements into technical specifications.
Develop and enhance data models, data flows, ETL processes, and reporting solutions in SAP BW.
Perform data extraction from SAP and non-SAP source systems.
Support BW on HANA or BW/4HANA environments (if applicable).
Lead customer discussions, solution design workshops, and provide expert recommendations.
Perform system testing, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and production support.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business analysts, and functional consultants.
Prepare documentation including functional and technical design documents.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and high-quality reporting outputs.

Required Skills & Experience

9+ years
of hands-on experience in
SAP BW / SAP BW on HANA / BW/4HANA
.
Strong understanding of
data warehousing concepts, ETL
, and reporting methodologies.
Expertise in
data modeling
, InfoProviders, Composite Providers, ADSOs, transformations, DTPs, and BEx/Analysis for Office.
Experience with
SAP ECC/S4HANA
integration and data extraction.
Strong SQL skills and understanding of HANA views (preferred).
Solid understanding of performance tuning and scalability in BW environments.
Customer-facing experience
is mandatorymust be able to lead discussions, manage expectations, and provide consultative insights.
Experience working in the
manufacturing industry
is a significant plus.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

SAP BW or BW/4HANA certifications.
