Professional Summary:

Experienced and detail-oriented SAP BASIS Consultant with over hands-on experience in managing complex SAP landscapes, including ABAP and JAVA stacks, Fiori, S/4HANA, SAP HANA, and Sybase ASE databases. Proven expertise in SAP Solution Manager (SolMan) configuration, including EWA setup, system monitoring, and vulnerability management. Adept at ensuring system stability, performance tuning, patching, upgrades, and aligning SAP environments with security and compliance standards.

Core Competencies:

SAP System Administration:

Installation, configuration, and administration of SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and NetWeaver (ABAP/JAVA) systems

System refreshes, client copies, transport management, and performance tuning

Database Management:

SAP HANA DB administration: backup/recovery, monitoring, system replication

Sybase ASE: user management, tuning, DB consistency checks

SAP Fiori:

Fiori Launchpad configuration, OData services activation, and app troubleshooting

SAP Solution Manager (SolMan):

EWA (EarlyWatch Alert) configuration and analysis

System Monitoring, System Recommendations, LMDB, and SMSY setup

Vulnerability management, security notes implementation, CVSS risk tracking

Security & Compliance:

User and role administration, SSO, SNC, secure RFCs

Coordination of SAP security patches and SAP Note implementation for vulnerabilities

System Maintenance:

Kernel upgrades, Support Package Stack (SPS) updates, system health checks

Applying SAP Notes, working with SAP OSS for issue resolution

Monitoring & Performance:

Tools: SAP Solution Manager, HANA Cockpit, DBACOCKPIT, SAP Host Agent, etc.

System logs, short dumps, job failures, performance analysis

Operating Systems:

Linux (SUSE, RHEL), Windows Server SAP application and DB-level administration

Automation & Scripting:

Basic Shell scripting for log monitoring, backup verification, and task automation

Roles & Responsibilities:

End-to-end administration of SAP systems including S/4HANA and related databases (HANA & Sybase)

Coordinate and perform system upgrades, kernel patches, and support package implementations

Configure and maintain SAP Solution Manager including EWA and vulnerability management tools

Ensure high system availability, manage performance bottlenecks, and handle RCA for incidents

Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams for seamless operations

Support regular system maintenance activities, including backups, restore tests, and DR drills

Manage transport landscape, perform system copies and refreshes

Monitor SAP services, jobs, logs, and proactively address alerts

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / IT / Engineering

SAP BASIS or HANA certification (preferred)

Solid understanding of SAP security best practices and patching process

Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have:

Exposure to SAP Cloud (BTP), SAP Router setup

Experience with SAP PI/PO, BW/4HANA

Knowledge of GRC or audit compliance procedures
