Role Description

This is a full-time on-site Network Engineer role located in Dubai at KGiSL. The Network Engineer will be responsible for network administration, engineering, troubleshooting, network security, and network design tasks on a day-to-day basis.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Network Engineer with 2-3 years of experience to manage and optimize our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our network systems, troubleshooting issues, and working with other IT teams to support ongoing projects. The role requires frequent travel to client sites for network installations and other related activities, so the candidate must have their own car and a valid driving license.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.

Monitor and troubleshoot network systems, including LAN/WAN, routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.

Perform network configuration and upgrades in line with company requirements and industry best practices.

Respond to network issues and outages, providing efficient solutions in a timely manner.

Collaborate with other IT teams to deploy network solutions for various projects.

Assist in planning network capacity, ensuring scalability and redundancy for future growth.

Provide network documentation, including topology, IP addresses, and detailed configuration.

Maintain and optimize existing network systems, recommending and implementing improvements.

Conduct regular system checks and performance evaluations.

Stay updated with emerging networking technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements.

Travel to client sites for network installations, troubleshooting, and support activities (travel required within UAE).

Must have own car and a valid driving license for travel to client locations.

Qualifications:

2-3 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.), and experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).

Familiarity with network monitoring tools and techniques.

Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.

Understanding of network security principles and best practices.

CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or other relevant certifications preferred.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with cross-functional teams.

Must have own car and valid driving license for travel to client sites
