As a UFT professional with 1-2 years of experience, your primary responsibility will involve designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using UFT and other testing tools as part of the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: - Test Automation Development: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using UFT to validate functional and non-functional requirements. - Collaborate with the development team to understand software features and ensure comprehensive test coverage. - Test Planning and Strategy: Contribute to creating and maintaining the overall test strategy and test plans. - Identify areas suitable for automation and provide input into the selection of test cases for automation. - Test Execution: Execute automated test scripts, analyze results to identify defects, and ensure the software meets quality standards. - Work closely with manual testers to integrate automated tests into the testing process. - Defect Reporting and Documentation: Document and track defects, providing detailed information for developers to reproduce and resolve issues. - Maintain comprehensive documentation of test scripts, test data, and test results. - Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and quality assurance teams, to ensure effective communication and understanding of testing requirements. - Continuous Improvement: Identify process improvement opportunities in the testing lifecycle and contribute to implementing best practices.
