SAP ABAP Consultant

We are looking for an experienced and proactive SAP ABAP Consultant with 9-13 years of hands-on experience in custom development and technical support across core SAP functional areas like OTC (Order to Cash), RTR (Record to Report), and P2P (Procure to Pay).The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both SAP ECC and S/4HANA platforms, experience in system integrations, and strong debugging and performance optimization skills.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Development & Technical Design :

• Develop and enhance custom programs using ABAP, adhering to SAP best practices, WK standards, and S/4HANA coding conventions.
• Perform custom field additions in Data Dictionary (DDIC) including appending standard tables and updating them in related programs.
• Work with DynPro for creating interactive screens and flow logic.
• Develop and maintain Smart Forms and Adobe Forms for output generation.
• Design and implement BDC (Batch Data Communication) and File Interface programs using BAPI and direct method.
• Handle file uploads/downloads to/from AL11 folder using secure ABAP file operations.
  

Integrations & Interfaces

• Develop interfaces between SAP and external systems using RFCs, Proxies, IDOCs, and Web Services.
• Manage inbound and outbound Proxy developments with SAP PI/PO for smooth system communication.
• Utilize BAPIs and Function Modules to create scalable and modular solutions.
  

System Enhancements & Support

• Implement User Exits, Enhancement Points, and Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) especially in Sales Order Processing and other business-critical transactions.
• Provide support for custom objects in both implementation and post-go-live support environments.
• Work on SAP Notes application, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and debugging complex ABAP code.
  

Experience

Required Experience and Skills :

• 8 to 10 years of strong ABAP development experience across SAP ECC and S/4 HANA environments.
• Proven experience in at least one S/4 HANA Implementation or Migration project is highly desirable.
• Experience working in SAP functional areas: Order to Cash (OTC), Procure to Pay (P2P), and Record to Report (RTR).
  

Technical Proficiency

• ABAP Workbench: DDIC, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, SmartForms/Adobe Forms.
  

Expertise In

• User Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Frameworks
• BDC, BAPI, RFC, IDOC, and Web Services
• Inbound/Outbound Proxy configuration
• Debugging, Performance Optimization, and Memory Management
• Proficiency in working with files in AL11 and performing file-based data uploads/downloads.
• Sound knowledge in SAP Notes, SAP OSS support, and system upgrades.
  

Nice To Have

• Basic understanding of Fiori/UI5 or OData services.
• Working knowledge of SAP PI/PO, CPI.
• Exposure to Agile development methodology.
