You are sought after by Talent Worx to fill the position of a SAN Switches Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, configuring, and troubleshooting Storage Area Network (SAN) switches to ensure optimal performance and availability of storage solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in collaborating with the IT infrastructure team to uphold high availability and resiliency in our data storage solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Configuration and Setup: Configure and set up SAN switches to align with organizational storage requirements. - Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to SAN switches, minimizing downtime and ensuring peak performance. - Monitoring: Proactively monitor SAN performance, capacity, and health to address potential issues before they escalate. - Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of SAN configurations, changes, and operational procedures for reference. - Collaboration: Collaborate closely with storage engineers and system administrators to support data storage needs and integrate SAN with existing systems. - Upgrades: Plan and execute upgrades to SAN switch firmware and hardware as needed to maintain an up-to-date infrastructure. Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 3+ years of experience managing SAN switches, with hands-on expertise in Cisco MDS or Brocade switch environments. - Strong understanding of storage protocols such as Fibre Channel, iSCSI, and network concepts. - Familiarity with SAN management tools and best practices. - Proficiency in troubleshooting connectivity and performance issues in a SAN environment. - Certifications in networking or SAN technologies are advantageous (e.g., Cisco CCNA, Brocade certifications). - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.,
