Sampling Production - Leather Bags

You are a Production Sampling Executive with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in Leather/Fabric Bags (Sampling/Production/Buying/Export). In this role, you will be responsible for developing samples/prototypes for leather and fabric bags based on buyer specifications. You will work closely with designers, merchandisers, and production teams to ensure timely development of high-quality samples. Your duties will involve sourcing and evaluating raw materials, coordinating with sample makers and vendors, and ensuring that samples meet quality standards, buyer requirements, and deadlines. Key Responsibilities: - Develop samples/prototypes for leather and fabric bags as per buyer requirements. - Coordinate with designers, merchandisers, and production teams to translate concepts into physical samples. - Source and evaluate raw materials, trims, zippers, fittings, and leather/fabric swatches. - Work closely with sample makers, craftsmen, and vendors to ensure accurate execution. - Ensure samples meet quality standards, buyer specifications, and deadlines. - Maintain proper documentation of sample approvals and revisions. - Support in costing, material planning, and production handover post sample approval. - Liaise with buyers for sample approvals, comments, and modifications. - Monitor sampling timelines to avoid production delays. Skills & Qualifications: - Graduate/Diploma in Fashion Design, Leather Technology, or related field (preferred). - Minimum 1+ year of experience in leather/fabric bags sampling, production, or buying/export house. - Strong knowledge of bag construction, stitching, hardware, and finishing. - Ability to work with artisans, vendors, and in-house production teams. - Good understanding of international quality standards and buyer expectations. - Excellent communication, coordination, and time-management skills.
