Develop the retail network for EMBECTA and ensure a strong EMBECTA relationship with the chemist, to enable chemist led influencing of the consumer for the EMBECTA products at the point of sale. • Actively scan environment for new opportunities, suggest action steps to capitalize on opportunities, effectively implement steps to ensure realization of opportunities; to continuously strive for achievement of stretch targets. • • Creating EMBECTA equity with the Key Influencers
Initiating and maintaining relationship with the doctors (Endocrinologists, Diabetologists and General Physicians prescribing on Diabetes) via regular visits.
- Detailing on the EMBECTA product feature & benefits.
• Educating patients, referred by Doctors, on injection technique. • As a result influencing doctors’ prescription to the patients for EMBECTA products. Initiating and maintaining relationship with the Nursing Superintendents and Nurses and other HCPs (Health care professionals), via regular visit and fix education/ training programs related to injection techniques to be done and in the process creating explicit/ tacit recommendation from the HCP to the patients for the EMBECTA products. This will involve:- Meeting hospital/ nursing home officials (apart from the consulting doctor) to create a healthy working relationship with all stakeholders and seeking agreement to work with the nurses/ HCPs, for ward working and patient contacts. Also to determine the EMBECTA sales potential in the account.
• Planning and fixing workshops/ short education programs to be conducted by the PS. Ensuring the purchase department in the institution is buying from EMBECTA, by constantly keeping in touch (directly or via Hospital ASM – if Hospital ASM is also working in the hospital). • Planned retail chemist coverage. Find out about, verify and maintain a list of the top 180 retailers of diabetes related products in the coverage towns (Growth market: 180 Chemists - 2 Calls/month. Explore market: 40 chemists – 1call/month) • • Meet with the chemists/ counter salesmen and find out their key motivations and also build a rapport with them. • POB for all Diabetes Care Products and tracking the secondary sales per month. • Tracking the prescriptions by Dr. at the chemist outlets. Run marketing initiatives in the chemist outlet. Make sure all elements of the initiative are executed on each chemist outlet under coverage. • Build ongoing relationship and rapport via regular meetings and ongoing conversations/ discussions to earn his respect and co-operation in influencing consumers at retail. • Tracking sales of total Diabetes care products - insulin syringes/ Pen needles/ Lancet needles/ Alcohol swabs on the covered chemists and EMBECTA share of the sale/month. • Co-ordination with Distributors/ Suppliers through a regular interaction with Distribution ASM. Assuring that the POBs done at chemists are honored and deliveries made. • Understand the flow of products to the chemists under coverage. Identify the suppliers to the chemist and track it to EMBECTA distribution system. • Ensuring the Retailer sourcing is regular in the assigned territory in coverage (50-100 Retail – 30-40 Suppliers) by working closely with the ASM-
