Sales & Marketing Executive

Job Purpose

To manage the complete sales process from enquiry receipt to order conversion, including preparation of technical and commercial offers, datasheets, tender documentation, customer communication, regular sales follow-up, and coordination for successful order closure.

Key Responsibilities

1. Enquiry & Offer Preparation

 Receive and review customer enquiries, RFQs and tender requirements.

 Understand technical specifications and identify any discrepancies or missing information.

 Prepare technical and commercial offers accurately and within the required timeline.

 Prepare and submit quotations along with relevant technical documents.

 Coordinate internally with the technical and production teams wherever required.

2. Datasheet & Technical Documentation

 Prepare and submit technical datasheets based on customer specifications.

 Review customer specifications, GTPs, BOQs and technical requirements.

 Prepare deviation statements and clarification sheets wherever required.

 Ensure all technical documents are complete, accurate and submitted within deadlines.

 Maintain records of submitted offers, datasheets and technical correspondence.

3. Tender Preparation

 Identify and review tender enquiries and tender documents.

 Prepare tender submissions, including:

o Technical bid

o Price bid

o Datasheets

o Compliance statements

o Deviations

o Commercial documents

o Other required tender documents

 Track tender submission deadlines and ensure timely submission.

 Coordinate with management for pricing and commercial approvals.

4. Sales Follow-up

 Regularly follow up with customers on submitted quotations and tenders.

 Maintain systematic follow-up records for all active enquiries.

 Understand customer requirements, objections and purchasing timelines.

 Follow up for technical approval, commercial negotiation, PO release and order confirmation.

 Maintain regular communication with existing and prospective customers.

5. Order Conversion

 Actively work towards converting enquiries and quotations into confirmed orders.

 Negotiate with customers within the approved commercial limits.

 Identify reasons for lost orders and maintain a record of lost opportunities.

 Follow up on pending quotations until final closure.

 Develop long-term relationships with customers to generate repeat business.

6. Sales Coordination

 Coordinate with internal departments for order-related requirements.

 Ensure proper handover of confirmed orders to the concerned departments.

 Communicate customer requirements, specifications and commitments accurately.

 Follow up on pending customer approvals, manufacturing clearances and other pre-order requirements.

Required Skills

 Good understanding of electrical cables, instrumentation cables and related products preferred.

 Ability to read and understand technical specifications and BOQs.

 Good knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and email communication.

 Strong follow-up and negotiation skills.

 Good written and verbal communication skills.

 Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple enquiries simultaneously.

 Strong commercial orientation with a focus on sales conversion.

 Attention to detail while preparing technical and commercial offers.

Experience

Preferred: 2–6 years of experience in sales, tendering, estimation or business development in the electrical/cable/instrumentation industry.

Freshers with good technical understanding and communication skills may also be considered.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
