Job Description

Job Summary:

The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in the sports retail store. The role involves product knowledge, visual merchandising, achieving sales targets, and promoting the brand’s image to enhance customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Customer Service

  • Greet and assist customers with product selection based on their needs and preferences.
  • Achieve individual and store sales targets.
  • Explain product features, benefits, and promotions effectively.
  • Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally.

2. Product Knowledge & Merchandising

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of product lines, sizes, and new arrivals.
  • Ensure shelves and displays are always well-stocked, clean, and visually appealing.
  • Support visual merchandising and product placement as per brand guidelines.

3. Store Operations

  • Manage billing and POS transactions accurately.
  • Maintain stock levels and assist with stock replenishment and inventory checks.
  • Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards are upheld.

4. Reporting & Coordination

  • Report daily sales, footfall, and customer feedback to the Store Manager.
  • Support store promotions, campaigns, and events.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet overall store goals and improve performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Minimum 10+2 or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred).
  • Experience: Preferred minimum 1-2 years in retail sales (preferably sports, apparel, or footwear), Freshers also can apply.
  • Skills Required:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for sports and fitness products.
  • Good product presentation and customer handling ability.
  • Basic computer and billing system knowledge (POS).
  • Ability to work in shifts and weekends.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Achievement of monthly/quarterly sales targets.
  • Customer satisfaction scores and feedback.
  • Inventory accuracy and shrinkage control.
  • Visual merchandising compliance.
