Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:

Identify and develop new business opportunities with Indian Railways (IR), Metro Rail Corporations, or private railway operators.
Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in railway departments (e.g., RDSO, Zonal Railways, PSUs like IRCON, RITES).
Regular follow-ups and account nurturing.
Tendering and Bidding:
Scan for tenders on government portals (GEM, IREPS, E-Tender sites).
Prepare and submit technical and commercial bids.
Coordinate with internal teams for documentation and compliance.
Product Promotion:
Present technical solutions and product portfolios to customers.
Participate in railway exhibitions, vendor meets, and technical discussions.
Sales Strategy & Planning:
Achieve assigned sales targets for the railway segment.
Prepare market intelligence reports and competitor analysis.
Develop territory sales plans and forecasting.
Coordination:
Collaborate with engineering, logistics, and finance teams for order execution.
Assist in post-sales support and service coordination.

Preferred candidate profile

Knowledge of railway procurement procedures and government e-tendering.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Basic understanding of railway systems and technical specs.
CRM software proficiency.
Willingness to travel across zones and railway headquarters.

1 to 3 years in sales, preferably in the railway or infrastructure domain.
Exposure to government/PSU tendering is an added advantage.
