Job Description

Job Purpose:

Key Responsibilities (KRAs):

  • Business Development && Sales: Identify and generate new business opportunities for
    OPGW wires with state electricity boards, power utilities, EPC contractors, andgovernment agencies. Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets. Maintainupdated records of sales leads, customer meetings, and progress reports.  
  • Customer Engagement && Field Visits: Regularly visit electricity boards, utilities, and key
    accounts to promote OPGW products. Build strong professional relationships withpurchase, engineering, and project teams. Address customer queries, provide productpresentations, and assist in technical clarifications.
  • Tendering && Documentation: Track tenders related to OPGW wires, prepare bid
    documents, and coordinate with internal teams for submission. Ensure compliance withall regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Market Intelligence: Gather competitor information, pricing trends, and upcoming
    project details. Provide periodic market analysis reports to management.
  • Coordination && Reporting: Work closely with internal sales, technical, and logistics
    teams for timely delivery and order execution. Submit weekly reports on customervisits, sales pipeline, and closures.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  •  Achievement of sales targets (monthly/quarterly/annual).
  • Number of customer visits/field meetings conducted per month.
  • Number of new accounts acquired and tenders participated in.
  • Conversion ratio from leads to order
  • Customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Timely submission of reports and updates to management.                                                                 

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Graduate/Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) preferred; MBA in Marketing
    is an added advantage.
  • 2-5 years of sales experience in industrial products; experience in power/utility sector
    or wire/cable industry is preferred.
  • Good understanding of electricity boards, tender processes, and government
    procurement.     
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (field visits across regions).
