Job Description

Working under the supervision of a TL, the sales Executive performs certain tasks, including presenting jewelry, making sales, and inspecting jewelry. He/she greets and welcomes customers with a warm smile as they enter the jewelry shop and inquire from them how he/she may assist them. He/she makes sure to listen to customers’ comments to know exactly what their requirements are and to know the kind of available jewelry sets and pieces that will meet the specific needs of the customer. He/she is expected to present to customers the jewelry piece that they are looking for and provide them relevant information about the jewelry, including stones, cuts, and setting types. The jewelry sales Executive work description also involves providing information about prices and available deals or discounts to customers to enable them to save money on their purchases. It also involves providing relevant information to customers to make the best buying decision for jewelry pieces or sets, in addition to suggesting complementing pieces and equally good alternatives. The role of the Sales Executive at most jewelry shops also entails leading the customer through the buying process by assisting with wrapping, boxing, and bagging of the items they have purchased. Jewelry sales Executives also perform cashiering duties such as providing the cashier information relating to the weight of a piece or set of jewelry purchased by a customer (this usually involves silver and gold jewelry), processing credit card and cash transactions. He/she is also responsible for ensuring that all documentation concerning a piece or set of jewelry is included with the bagged item for delivery to the customer after being purchased, as well as educating customers about After-Sales Policies of Mahavir Jewelers (No Tension Policy) i.e. guarantees and warrantees of sold items. While completing the sales process, the Executive sends out thank you notes to customers to seek to gain and retain their loyalty and send them information about new product arrival regularly. Sales Executives at jewelry shops are also responsible for organizing product window displays regularly and ensuring the security of all displays. Sales Executives are also responsible for ensuring that at the closing of working hours for the day, all jewelry products inventory counts are recorded and securely protected in the assigned storage areas.
