Sales Executive

Job Title:

1. Sales & Revenue Generation:

• Drive sales of sports gear including badminton racquets, high-performance strings, shuttlecocks, cricket bats, leather/tennis balls, protective kits, and apparel.
• Understand customer needs (player level, playing style, budget) and recommend appropriate equipment and string tensions/types.
• Cross-sell and up-sell complementary products such as grips, racquet bags, kit bags, and maintenance products.

1. Technical Product Consultation:

• Provide expert advice on technical specifications (e.g., racquet balance point, flex, string tension, bat weight, wood grade like English Willow vs. Kashmir Willow).
• Guide players and coaches on optimal string selection (e.g., durability vs. control/power) and assist with racquet restringing consultations.

1. Client Relationship & Institutional Sales:

• Build and maintain relationships with local sports academies, coaches, schools, colleges, and sports clubs for bulk orders.
• Follow up on leads, quotes, and institutional inquiries to secure recurring bulk purchases for shuttlecocks, cricket balls, and training gear.

1. Inventory & Merchandising Support:

• Ensure sports merchandise is neatly displayed, categorized, and prominently visible.
• Monitor stock levels of fast-moving items (e.g., popular string rolls, standard ball packs, grip tapes) and notify the purchasing/inventory team for reorders.
• Assist with stock audits and inventory verification for sports gear.

1. Customer Service & After-Sales:

• Address customer inquiries, feedback, and warranty claims (e.g., handle damaged bats or broken racquets per company policy).
• Provide guidance on proper equipment care and maintenance (e.g., bat knocking, racquet storage, string care).

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Sales Target Achievement:

  Meeting or exceeding monthly/quarterly sales quotas.

• Customer Satisfaction & Retention:

  Positive customer feedback and repeat purchases from players/coaches.

• Institutional Account Growth:

  Number of new academies or sports clubs onboarded for bulk supplies.

• Product Knowledge Index:

  Ability to effectively pitch technical specs of badminton and cricket merchandise.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education:

  High School Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related fields.

• Experience:

  1-3 years of sales experience in retail, sports goods, activewear, or consumer products. Personal experience playing badminton or cricket is a strong advantage. Any sales experience to be consider based on your interview performance.

• Technical & Product Knowledge:

• In-depth understanding of badminton gear (racquets, string gauge/tension, shuttles) and cricket gear (bat profiles, ball types, protective gear).
• Basic proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems, CRM tools, or MS Office (Excel/Word).

• Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and persuasive interpersonal skills.
• Passion for sports and active lifestyle.
• Customer-first attitude with strong problem-solving abilities.

Working Conditions

• Retail store floor environment or field trips to sports academies and clubs.
• May require working weekend shifts or during peak sports season sales events.
