Sales Engineer

Job Purpose

To promote and sell Online Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (OCEMS) and related environmental monitoring solutions (CEMS, AQMS, EQMS, WQMS, STP, ETP, RO etc.) to industries and consultants, ensuring revenue growth, client satisfaction, and market expansion in line with environmental compliance requirements (CPCB/MPCB norms).

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Business Development

1. Identify and generate new business opportunities.Understand client requirements and propose suitable OCEMS / CEMS / STP / ETP / RO solutions (COD, BOD, TSS, pH,SO, NOx, CO, CO, PM, Flow, etc.) along with sample handling systems.

2. Build strong relationships with environmental consultants, system integrators, EPC contractors, and regulatory bodies.

3. Conduct technical and commercial presentations for clients and consultants.

• 2. Sales & Target Achievement

4. Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for OCEMS and related product lines.

5. Prepare quotations, techno-commercial offers, and product proposals in coordination with the engineering and service teams.

6. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close sales effectively.

• 3. Market & Competitor Analysis

7. Monitor market trends, competitor products and pricing strategies.

8. Provide feedback to the management.

• 4. Coordination & Reporting

9. Coordinate with internal departments (Design, Service, Accounts, Production) for smooth project execution.

10. Maintain CRM data, visit reports, and pipeline tracking sheets.

11. Submit weekly and monthly sales progress reports to management.

• 5. Client Relationship Management

12. Maintain long-term relationships with existing customers for AMC, spares, and system upgrades.

13. Ensure customer satisfaction through timely support, coordination, and communication.

Educational Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Instrumentation / Electronics / Environmental / Mechanical Engineering
• M.Sc. (Environmental Science) or equivalent will be an added advantage

Experience

• 2 to 8 years of relevant experience in sales of pollution monitoring systems / analyzers / environmental equipment.
• Experience dealing with pollution control boards, EPC contractors, or environmental consultants preferred
