Role Overview
Marketing Lead
rural or semi-rural audiences

Key Responsibilities
1. Vernacular Content & Campaigns
- Design WhatsApp, IVR, and field communication that speaks the language of farmers and labourers in
Marathi-first
tone and idiom. - Write and localise all scripts, advisories, and farmer-facing content (e.g. crop messages, labour recruitment drives, cluster updates).
- Build a content calendar aligned to crop cycles and seasonal patterns.
2. Media & Brand Communication
- Oversee design and production of banners, videos, posters, and social media creatives rooted in local imagery and culture.
- Create brand narratives that balance trust, technology, and ground connection.
Coordinate photo/video shoots at farms and labour clusters to build authentic visual stories.
3. On-Ground & Partnership Marketing
- Plan and execute activations across mandis, APMCs, Krushi Kendras, and village fairs.
- Work with Sahyadri and FPC networks for co-branded outreach and labour drives.
- Partner with local radio, print, and panchayat-level media to extend reach.
4. Data-Driven Outreach
- Manage WhatsApp broadcast campaigns and engagement analytics to refine messaging.
- Collaborate with field teams to track campaign effectiveness across clusters.
- Optimise reach using farmer segmentation data from the Bharat Intelligence platform.
5. Team & Execution
- Manage a small creative and field marketing team; coordinate with designers, photographers, and regional partners.
- Own campaign delivery end-to-end from idea to field execution to impact tracking.
What We're Looking For
Education:
Bachelor's in Agriculture, Rural Management, or Agri Business.
Experience:
Minimum 36 years
of marketing or communication experience in rural markets, agri-inputs, FPCs, or grassroots programmes.
Language:
Native-level Marathi fluency
and working proficiency in English
(Hindi a plus).- Strong understanding of the
agriculture ecosystem
farmers, labour, cooperatives, agri-inputs, rural logistics. - Comfortable travelling frequently to field clusters in Nashik, Nanded, and other districts.
- Hands-on mindset someone who can write a WhatsApp message, direct a village activation, and brief a designer in the same day.
Preferred Backgrounds
- Experience in
agritech
, rural FMCG
, microfinance
, or development sector marketing
. - Previous work with
FPCs, Krishi Kendras, NGOs
, or government agri initiatives.
Exposure to Marathi media
, rural radio, or community marketing.- Familiarity with tools like
Canva, Meta Ads Manager, and WhatsApp Business API
is a plus.
