Rug Designer- South Delhi

We are a manufacturer of contemporary design Hand Made carpets in India. Our office is in Delhi and we have our manufacturing facilities in Panipat and Bhadohi. We are looking for a full time designer in our Delhi head office for making modern rug designs- cotton/wool/jute rugs made on pitloom, punja & kelim looms + hand tufted and modern hand knotted carpets. Will require an independent minded, self motivated, confident and performance oriented personality.

Responsibilities

• Have a detailed plan for creative direction of the company across different product lines

• Share concept ideas of themes and collections to develop

• Develop designs for the themes in appropriate qualities and textures of collections identified

• Constantly be aware of new ideas of fibres, yarns & weaves for manufacturing

• Plan exhibition stand design with respect to the collections being displayed

• Do rendering of rug designs in room settings

• Design catalogues

• Design posts for social media

• Will require some travel to factories and exhibitions

Qualifications & Experience preferred

• A degree/diploma in designs

• 2-3 years minimum experience

• Knowledge of carpet techniques- hand tuft, hand knotted, handloom

• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, CorelDraw, Indesign, etc

• Working knowledge of Galaincha software preferred
